Stacked Balloons

Concept
A sculpture placed within a confined, narrow pathway at Al Fahidi District during Dubai Culture’s -Sikka Art and Design Festival. The artwork aims to act as an intervention between space, object, and body. The arrangement of these different elements raises questions about the physical and psychological constraints that we experience. Playing with the boundaries between viewer, space, and object, Stacked Balloons embodies a sense of interplay between freedom and control, movement, and stillness. The sculpture investigates how specific architecture affects our body’s inhabitance.
