        AND THE BODY

My relationship with the body began during my undergraduate studies at California College of the Arts, where I explored how clothing shapes and responds to the human form. The body, ever-changing and responsive to time, age, and environment, became a site of transformation and narrative. My designs reflect this fluidity—where form meets function, and where garments become vessels for lived experience and identity.

Multiply SP'15

             thesis collection

Inspired by the layers and depth in glass as a material, Multiply is a menswear collection designed for fashion-forward individuals who aren’t afraid to take up space. Created during my senior thesis at California College of the Arts in 2015, the collection draws from the intricate artistry of Venetian glass and the architectural brilliance of Carlo Scarpa.

This menswear collection was described as “walking pieces of architecture” as models moved down the runway. Each garment embraced a luxury athleisure aesthetic, utilizing unconventional fabrics typically unseen in menswear. Guided by architectural principles, the designs evolved from 2D concepts into 3D forms, reflecting a careful balance between structure and fluidity.

X-LABELED

A genderless fashion brand committed to crafting individualistic, purposeful clothing that transcends the ordinary. Rooted in technical design, each piece emphasizes meticulous detail, functionality, and bold, distinctive cuts. Founded on the principle of “no labels, no limits,” X-Labeled champions a philosophy of unrestricted expression - where clothing becomes a form of identity beyond binaries.

The Self —Watering Plants

Self—Watering Plants project was launched as a response to the grief and frustration of different social issues the collaborators faced during a moment of ultimate low. It was a project dedicated to those who experienced a career crisis and grasped higher purpose, to those who resisted tradition to fathom value, and to those who failed at love, to better understand their hearts. By sharing these growing pains, The project became a collective celebration of their failures and growth.

Our failures that inspire uncomfortable change, encourage others to share stories of their own humiliation. Together, we face up to the pain we often endure alone. Our ultimate responsibility to ourselves takes precedence as we begin to self-water.

Divine Love.
            A Capsule Collection

Divine Love is an ethereal Ramadan capsule collection created by Reem AlMulla, founder of Four Freedom, and multidisciplinary artist Sara Ahli.  Rooted in themes of nature, healing, and spiritual transcendence, the collection seeks to expand awareness around ethical, slow fashion.

To honor this intention, the duo commissioned The Alchemy of Dyeing—founded by Mehru Khan and Nahla Tabbaa—to produce 100% naturally dyed, artisanal silk crepe de chine using a floral bundle dye technique. Each bouquet was carefully curated to reflect the spring perennials of the UAE and their healing properties.

The four dress styles—ود (Love), حلم (Dream), نور (Light), and ملك (Sovereignty)—embody softness, volume, and romantic silhouettes. These garments are living, ephemeral organisms—talismanic, centering, and healing. They are meant to be loved, cherished, and worn with intention.

We dream of returning to our source
Of light and love.
Slowly and holistically,
Quietly,
Seeking solace,
Surrendering to the sovereignty of the divine and nature,
Held in a bouquet of marigolds, hibiscus, petunias, roses and onion bulbs.
A bountiful garden that heals us through its Divine Love.
