BODY
My understanding of the body was shaped by my studies and experiences in the world of fashion. It all began during my undergraduate years at California College of the Arts, where I embarked on an exploration of the body and its relationship with design, encompassing both male and female forms. Our bodies are dynamic entities, constantly evolving and adapting to internal and external influences such as environment, time, and age. They are inherently malleable, capable of undergoing profound shifts and transformations. It is this fluidity that fascinates me—the way in which the human body serves as a canvas, carrying within it a multitude of narratives.Through my work, I seek to delve into the intricate interplay between form and function, exploring the ways in which clothing and design interact with and shape the body. By understanding the body as a vessel for storytelling, I aim to create designs that not only adorn but also resonate with the lived experiences and identities of individuals.Join me on a journey into the realm of the body—a realm where boundaries blur, and narratives unfold upon the canvas of flesh and bone.
The Self —Watering Plants
Self—Watering Plants project was launched as a response to the grief and frustration of different social issues the collaborators faced during a moment of ultimate low. It was a project dedicated to those who experienced a career crisis and grasped higher purpose, to those who resisted tradition to fathom value, and to those who failed at love, to better understand their hearts. By sharing these growing pains, The project became a collective celebration of their failures and growth. Our failures that inspire uncomfortable change, encourage others to share stories of their own humiliation. Together, we face up to the pain we often endure alone. Our ultimate responsibility to ourselves takes precedence as we begin to self-water.
